enacted ordinances banning the use of fertilizers during the raining season to prevent fertilizer from running off and polluting the lagoon, which has been declining in quality due to pollution from fertilizers, wastewater, and other chemicals and toxins. This has led to the death of thousands of acres of seagrass, and countless fish, birds, dolphins, and manatees.

Help protect our waterways and comply with this ban, and better yet, replace some or all of your turf and ornamental landscaping with native plants that don’t need chemical fertilizer!
