It’s a chilly day here at The Green Marketplace and we’re digging out old sheets and string lights to keep the sensitive plants from freezing. We’ve had several customers over the last month ask us why we don’t have tomato plants for sale yet. Well, this cold is why! We traditionally get our last chance of frost in the middle of February, so we wait to put out tomato plants for sale until the end. We want your gardens to be as successful as possible and while it may be warm in January, it doesn’t mean the warm will last!
So if you’ve already planted, you’ll be getting out your sheets too. If you’ve waited until this cold passes, then we’ll hope to see you out here at our green market in Cocoa in a couple of weeks!
